SVG schools on schedule to re-open Monday, September 5
The Ministry of Education is on schedule to have schools in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) reopen on Monday, September 5.
This assurance was given by Minister of Education, Curtis King as he spoke on the Issue at Hand discussion programme on WEFM last Sunday, August 28.
“We have no indication that school will not commence.
“We are on schedule to commence school on Monday, 5th September,” King said.
Concerns have been expressed whether repairs at some schools and a likely inadequacy of teachers may cause the re-opening to be pushed back. King, however, has allayed these concerns.
The minister also disclosed that the results of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate(CSEC) will be sent to the Ministry of Education, also on Thursday, September 1.
King explained that students will be able to access their results by September 5.
“I have no doubt that we’ll see good performance from our students,” the minister said in anticipation.
