Rubis supports KPS for their graduation ceremony
The Kingstown Preparatory School (KPS) received support from Rubis for its graduation ceremony last week.
“We are happy to respond to the school’s call to assist in their graduation ceremony,” retail, commercial and industrial account executive at Rubis, Elroy Edwards said on June 2 when he handed over trophies that were used to reward outstanding achievements.
Edwards said that Rubis believes in supporting academic achievements especially when it comes to youth, while the company also believes in the KPS’s practice of rewarding students for academic achievement visibly, tangibly and publicly, a release from Rubis states.
“These children have a proven track record of excellence, and we want to help them continue on that path to success,” Edwards added.
Over the years, Rubis has supported various schools and similar initiatives like school sports, the release states.
The school’s management expressed gratitude over the donation, noting satisfaction in Rubis’s quick response.
“We strongly believe that programmes of such not only recognize the dedication, hard work and scholastic achievements of the students but help identify their true potential, instilling in them a lifetime of motivation driven by their success,” the school’s principal, Susan Jackson-Abraham said.
She saluted the company for its role in assisting in the community.
“When we get assistance like this, it signifies that people are paying attention to what we’re trying to accomplish, and it gives us the drive and encouragement to keep doing our best for the students,” she said.
