PM on mission to get fit
PRIME MINISTER Dr Ralph Gonsalves is on a weight loss journey that he said is already yielding results.
He disclosed on NBC Radio on Wednesday, June 8 that he has already lost 20 lbs over the past six weeks.
Stating his commitment to staying healthy, Gonsalves spoke about cutting out snacking, especially at night.
He admitted that he has stopped eating lots of cheese and biscuits, and nuts.
Now that some of the weight has gone, the prime minister said he is now wearing shirts that he had not worn before.
Like most persons on a weight loss journey, Gonsalves said he has a target in mind.
“I have to stay as fit as I can for the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines.”
The prime minister stated that he has to be a “bulwark” against what is coming from the “opposition circles.”
