Police arrest man for allegedly handling 220 lbs of stolen beef

A 23 year old resident of Redemption Sharpes will go before a magistrate to explain how he came to be in possession of 220 pounds of beef.

The police said that on November 26 they arrested and charged Jerroy Phillips with the offence of handling stolen goods. The incident is alleged to have happened at Gun Hill.

According to investigations by the police Phillips allegedly had in his possession 220lbs of beef reasonably suspected of being stolen or unlawfully obtained.

He is expected to appear in the Magistrates Court to answer to the charge.
