Graduates to be recognised by UWI Open Campus
Thirty-seven graduates, who have successfully completed their course of study at the Open Campus, St Vincent Site of the University of the West Indies, will be recognized by the University today.
The ceremony will take place at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown, beginning at 9:00 am.
The graduates will be formally recognised for their academic and professional achievements in various disciplines including Management Studies, Education, BSc Accounting, BSc Banking and Finance, BSc Social Work, BSc Youth Development Work.
Professor Leonard O’Garro, Director of the Caricom Food & Security Enterprise (CFSE) at the Cave Hill Campus will deliver the feature address at the ceremony, while head of the Open Campus, Deborah Dalrymple, will lead the academic procession. This year, Dr Francis Severin, Director of the Open Campus Country Sites (OCCS), will perform official duties on behalf of the Chancellor.
La Toya Browne, who is graduating with a first class honours bachelor of science degree in Youth Development Work is this year’s valedictorian.
