More donors come forward in support of World Pediatric Project

The World Pediatric Project (WPP) has expressed its gratitude for the growing support and assistance from donors and sponsors.

Recently, the project received donations from the Melisizwe brothers as well as Be Fit Movement SVG. “These donations contribute to the success of the missions and the ability to provide on the ground support to the teams, children and families benefiting from the expertise, love and support of the WPP and their support members,” a release from the WPP said.

The WPP has completed three missions for the year and 67 patients were seen last weekend by the cardiology team which is currently on St Vincent. The team, led by Dr Moskowitz and supported by cardiology resident Dr Moore, is seeing patients with disorders of the heart as well as parts of the circulatory system and rheumatic fever cases.

An ophthalmology team led by Dr Donna Brown and a plastic surgery team led by Dr Nadia Blanchet are scheduled to visit during the week of February 10.

“WPP is committed to reaching every child who needs our help, while reemphasizing the gratitude and importance of the support received from donors in enabling them to continue their long term medical plans.

“As part of the mission, WPP mobilizes diagnostic and surgical teams to heal children who lack assess to paediatric specialist care as well as provide complex surgical care to children through our network of partner hospitals in the US and internationally. WPP is committed to their mission in building a better brighter future for our children,” said Lauren McIntosh, Executive Director of the WPP.
