Amazon lifts ban on children’s book
THE MEGA online store, Amazon, has lifted its ban on a children’ book that has been the subject of controversy by many persons and groups.
‘No dress for Timmy’, written by Vincentian author Shefflorn Ballantyne, was censored by Amazon last July, allegedly due to pressure by LGBT activists namely the online group, Family Rhetoric.
The book was restored to the platform on January 22, after vigorous efforts by the author, an online petition and advocacy by various individuals and online Christian and Freedom groups.
The book began gaining increased international attention when YouTuber and media analyst, Mark Dice, featured it about two weeks ago on one of his daily videos captioned ‘Amazon Censored – It has begun’.
The video received over 200,000 views and over 5,000 comments. Many of the comments vehemently opposed the ban. Since then, the story of ‘No Dress for Timmy’ has been featured on various online sites. It tells a story of a little boy who courageously stands for the Biblical truth that there are only two genders assigned by God.
Both paperback and Kindle copies are now available for purchase on Amazon. Ballantyne extends sincere thanks to all who have supported locally, regionally and internationally.
“I am happy that the book is now available on Amazon so that more persons worldwide can have access to it…to help save their children from the immoral socialist agenda. Glory be to the Most High God for His wondrous works. It is a victory for truth and a blow to Cultural Marxism.”
Ballantyne is also a Minister of the Thusia SDA Church in St. Vincent and author of a number of books. ‘No Dress for Timmy’ is his first children’s book.
The book (hardcover) may also be obtained locally from the author or from book stores in Kingstown. Persons may contact the author at 1-784-528-2123 or www.shefflornballantyne.com
