X104.3FM hands over funds from charity football to DJ Tarrus

Xtreme 104.3FM is continuing its thrust at adding value to the lives of the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

This time the recipient is one of the young radio station’s very own, Raphael Husbands, popularly known as DJ Tarrus, who is currently overseas with a series of health issues that are kidney related.{{more}}

The station, in a gesture of goodwill, staged a fund-raising event at Victoria Park on August 20, 2016, to assist Tarrus in defraying some of his medical expenses.

All proceeds have been handed over to a member of Tarrus’ family.

While the support was overwhelming from some, the turnout to this event was hailed a fair success and management is disappointed in the fact that more persons do not feel inclined to support charitable functions.

The management of Xtreme 104.3FM says this gesture was something the station felt obligated to do, based on the role Tarrus played since the station went on air just over 18 months ago and its commitment to the staff.

Xtreme 104.3FM has endeared the public to the station with its extremely popular X Marks the Spot community outreach events, where listeners to the station get to meet their favourite deeJays and announcers.

Xtreme 104.3FM takes this opportunity to thank the sponsors and patrons attending the event for their contribution to its success.
