Peniston farmer beaten by three assailants
A 44-year-old farmer who says that he was beaten by three men in Peniston on Sunday is hoping that the authorities deal with the matter seriously.
âThis is real advantage and my sister tell me nah leave it so,â said Elson Simeon from his bed at the Male Surgical Ward of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) on Monday.{{more}}
According to Simeon, he got involved in an argument with a man whom he knows well when the man attempted to enter his property to retrieve a bag belonging to someone else.
He said that he shoved the guy from his yard and a tussle began. Simeon said that when he began wrestling with the man who had tried to enter his yard, two more men attacked him and he was struck in the head, which rendered him unconscious. He said that he was also beaten about the body and sustained injuries to his right leg and back.
âThing is, [they are] men who used to come around me and I give them thing and them stab me behind me back for a stupid argument,â said Simeon.
He noted that he has already spoken to a police officer and he has been promised that the incident will be dealt with by the law, something he is looking forward to.(LC)
