Performing also at the concert were the group Called Out, and Ken Isles on pan.

One of the concert’s organizers, Maurice John of the Calder Seventh-Day Adventist Church, hailed the concert a success, explaining that over 500 persons patronized the event. John said one of the main objectives of the concert was to provide physically challenged and other disabled persons with a platform to showcase their abilities and talent; he added that it is their hope to make the concert an annual event. John also thanked all the churches that supported the concert, which he described as a demonstration of their commitment to improving the livelihood of the less fortunate among us. Additionally, John said all proceeds from Sunday’s concert will be shared between a number of institutions here that care for the needy and persons with disabilities including the Lewis Punnett Home, the Society of and for the Blind and the School for Children with Special Needs.

Meanwhile, Digicel’s marketing manager Danielle Cupid said the telecommunications company was more than happy to provide financial and other support towards the successful hosting of the Disabled got Talent concert. Cupid added that disabled and physically challenged persons within our society should be supported and properly equipped to thrive; and Digicel, as a company will continue to partner with entities and individuals who endeavour to empower this particular segment of our society.
