Yellow Fever vaccines recommended for travel to Trinidad, Guyana

A yellow fever vaccine is recommended for all persons over nine months old who are travelling from St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) to a country in the region with risk of yellow fever transmission.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment, in a recent release, said countries of the region with risk of yellow fever transmission are: {{more}}Argentina, Bolivia (one state), Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.

Additionally, persons over the age of one year arriving in SVG from countries listed as having risk of yellow fever transmission and travellers having transited an airport of a country with risk of yellow fever transmission (longer than five hours) require a yellow fever vaccination certificate.
