Vincentians listed among NY Times honorees of Great Immigrants
On July 4, the New York Times newspaper listed the honorees of Great Immigrants. This is an initiative launched by the Carnegie Cooperation of New York. They recognize well known naturalized citizens from all walks of life whose contributions have helped advance progress in the USA.{{more}}
St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) made the list of roughly 500 distinguished foreign-born honorees, from all over the world, including Africa, Europe, India, China, Vietnam, and Canada. There was a total of seven honorees from seven Caribbean nations. The nations represented from the Caribbean were Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Dominican Republic and SVG. Representing SVG were Roy Austin and Adonal Foyle, men who have truly contributed to their homeland and the USA.
