Man found dead with chop, bullet wounds in Vermont

Vermont is the site of this country’s 19th homicide for 2016.

Dead is 38-year-old Kamau Jones, formerly of Union Island. Jones, occupation unknown, was discovered in the downstairs section of a home owned by Barro Gordon, 71 years old, of Vermont.{{more}}

Police say that Jones had gunshot wounds about his body and a chop wound to the back of his head. His lifeless body was discovered by police at around 11 p.m. Wednesday, after the lawmen responded to gunshots in the area.

Someone with knowledge of the situation told SEARCHLIGHT that persons heard gunshots and called police, who on responding, found Jones dead.

He was at the house as a result of a friendship with a family member.
