Jehovah’s Witnesses to hold convention

On June 24, Jehovah’s Witnesses held a news conference releasing information about their upcoming 2016 convention, featuring the theme “Remain Loyal to Jehovah”, to be held at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex, July 15 – 17 2016. The programme begins at 9:20 a.m. each day.

Last weekend and continuing for the next three weeks leading up to the convention, Jehovah’s Witnesses have begun inviting the public to attend this convention.{{more}}

All the congregations throughout St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) will be involved in this campaign. A special effort will be made to give an invitation to as many homes as we possibly can during this period.

The three-day programme will feature 49 presentations, each exploring the theme “loyalty.” Additionally, some 35 video segments have been specially prepared for the programmes, plus two short films that will be shown, one on Saturday at 3:25, entitled “Hope for What We Do Not See,” based on Romans 8:25, which says “But if we hope for what we do not see, we keep eagerly waiting for it with endurance,” and the other on Sunday at 1:50, entitled “O Jehovah…I trust in You,” based on how King Hezekiah held fast to Jehovah,” while being besieged by his enemies.

“We are confident the programme will help all in attendance to benefit because loyalty is an essential part of any healthy relationship. Our convention this year features content that will help people develop stronger bonds with friends, family members and, above all, with God. We are confident that all who attend will enjoy this programme,” a release from the Jehovah’s Witnesses said.
