Barrouallie man shot dead – 18th homicide

Alrick ‘Carbon’ Bulze, a 25-year-old mason of Keartons, Barrouallie, succumbed to a gunshot wound on Tuesday, June 28 and according to his mother Romola Browne, “I don’t know what happen; I don’t know who would want to kill him.”

Bulze, who turned 25 last February 11, was found dead in front the house he shared with his grandmother. He is said to have been mortally wounded at about 11:15 p.m.{{more}} He was shot in his chest and died on the spot, becoming this country’s 18th homicide.

On Wednesday, speaking from outside her Barrouallie home, Bulze’s mother said that when she got the call that her son had been shot, she ran out the house and went to the scene where she saw an unforgettable sight, her son lying dead.

“I real sad; I real, real upset; I can’t even eat, I can’t even sleep. My son was a quiet person who didn’t make any trouble to my knowing,” said Browne.

She said that her son lived with his grandmother and she saw him last on Saturday and they spoke. She said that her son had no children and returned from Canada last year, after spending four years abroad.

“I want justice for my son and I don’t think that he deserve that kind of death,” stressed Browne.

Police are investigating and up to press time, no one had been charged, but one suspect had been questioned. (LC)
