In a release, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture congratulated Otisha and commended the other participants for their effort.
Otishaâs poster depicted ways in which one can âReuse, Recycleâ¦.. Renew the Caribbeanâ. Comic strips were used to highlight how persons can take different items from around their homes and the environment, such as plastics, old and tattered clothing, bottles and tires in a creative way to reuse and recycle the Caribbean. Additionally, emphasis was placed on how wind energy, solar energy and wave energy could be used to renew the Caribbean.
According to reports from the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association, this yearâs poster competition attracted entries from 12 nations. In the Senior Division, Grenada and St Maarten placed 1st and 3rd, respectively.
âThe Ministry stands in support with the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association in this effort to promote the 3Rs, âReuse, Recycleâ¦.. Renew the Caribbeanâ. Additionally, the Ministry encourages Vincentians to practise and adopt the principles of the 3Rs as we work together to create a more sustainable tourism industry,â the release said.
