The cheque, handed over during a short ceremony at FLOW’s corporate offices on Halifax Street, will be used to help the six-time (2009 to 2014) Panorama champs, as they strive towards winning a seventh title.

Commenting, Knights said, “We feel happy because FLOW is sharing out vision. We have a product to sell and they see the value in our product”.

Knights stressed that the band is a community based entity and by sponsoring the band, FLOW has contributed to youth development in the Sion Hill community.

“We have a youth development programme. We will take part in the Panorama competitions for Vincy Mas 2016 and we also have a summer programme coming up, so we are grateful to FLOW,” said Knights, who added, “thanks for sharing our vision and being part of us for 2016.”

On Sunday, the FLOW Sion Hill Euphonium Steel Orchestra will compete in the Junior Panorama competition with a song called ‘Join the line and wind’ by Ortis Tesheira, while they will compete in the Senior Panorama on Thursday, June 30 with ‘Tone’, a song by Alston ‘Becket’ Cyrus.

The band placed second in both Panorama competitions last year.
