Digicelâs marketing manager Danielle Cupid said the company is pleased to be once more associated with this countryâs premier national festival Vincy Mas. She added that while the main highlights of Vincy Mas are scheduled for June 24 to July 5, it is rural activities like the Windward Carnival that make Vincy Mas the spectacle it is year after year.
Cupid said Digicel SVG saw it fit to support the Windward Carnival 2016, as the rural festival promises to feature schoolsâ pan, calypso, raga and soca monarch competitions, geared at exposing the talent of rural students. The 2016 Windward Carnival will also include a night mas component, targetting both male and female revellers.
The Digicel marketing manager said for many years the telecoms company has been partnering with a number of rural communities to ensure the overall success of their various events. Cupid added that Digicel has been a huge pillar of support for the Pâtani Carnival and in 2016 the company intends to be even more visible during the national festival, pledging to support rural carnival events across all of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Windward Carnival will kick into high gear on the weekend of June 15.
