‘Bing’ Joseph to hear from my lawyer next week – Eustace

Despite making a public apology, radio talk show host Dwight ‘Bing’ Joseph and the radio station Boom 106.9 FM can expect to hear from the lawyer for Leader of the Opposition Arnhim Eustace in the upcoming week.

Eustace said on Wednesday night, while speaking at a rally at Sion Hill, that he has been abused publicly by many people and has never responded until now,{{more}} and as a result, he will be taking legal action against Joseph and the radio station.

Eustace signalled his intention to bring legal action against Bing and Boom last Monday, May 23, while speaking as a guest on the Hot 97.1 AM Mayhem show. He said statements made by Joseph last week that he (Eustace) was ‘selling senatorship’ are completely false.

The New Democratic Party (NDP) has said in a release that comments made by Joseph were “not only mischievous, but outright defamatory” of Eustace.

Joseph has since offered an apology, saying: “I am pleased to be made aware of the facts put out in the release yesterday concerning the surrender of salary as senator by Dr Lewis which was not explained by Dr Lewis to me in that interview. I apologize again to Mr Eustace for any inconvenience that may have been caused by me in the statements of sale of senatorship.”

But Eustace noted, “I am not interested in any apology. I am going to deal with the comments by Mr Joseph through the court.”

“…next week, my lawyer will do his work…he called me a nasty man…,” said Eustace to loud cheers from his supporters at Sion Hill last Wednesday.(LC)
