Finishing and Furnishing staff undergo training
Members of staff of local furniture and appliance store Finishing and Furnishing are now better equipped to serve their customers, having participated in a training workshop on âCustomer Service Excellence.â{{more}}
The workshop, which was held at the store on Tyrell Street, Kingstown, was facilitated by Jonathan Nicholls, a retired senior police officer, and former head of the Police Public Relations and Complaints Department.
The main aim of the programme was to equip participants with the skills required to confidently deliver high levels of customer service. They were also encouraged to develop a greater understanding of their own behaviour and explore the effect it may have on others.
Areas covered include during the workshop included: What is Customer Service; Why is Customer Service Important; Where Customer Service Takes Place; The Benefits of Good Customer Service; Customer Service Charter; Customer Service Standards; Customer Service Strategy; Effective Skills and Competencies; How to Handle Complaints; Proper and Effective use of the Telephone, among others.
Manager of Finishing and Furnishing Owen Mayers, who himself participated in some of the sessions, expressed gratitude on behalf of the staff to Nicholls, for delivering the training. He said such training was timely and expressed confidence that his staff’s customer service skills had been enhanced and urged the participants to put into practice what they had learnt at the workshop.
