JEMS Progressive Community Organization (JEMS), as part of its continuing work on climate change, held a very successful community organizations networking strategy session at the Red Cross Headquarters, Kingstown on Thursday, 21st April, 2016. This was done to plan and organize a collaborative approach to climate change, building the community link and expanding the network of eight (8) represented community organizations, working as a unit to tackle the challenges of climate change, the world’s primary environmental threat today.

The meeting was addressed by Andrea Simmons, director of JEMS and Otis Joslyn, technical co-ordinator of the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre, based in Belize.

The community network will meet in mid-May to assess the progress of the initiative on climate change mitigation on a community level in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
