Ottley Hall man to answer for fellow villager’s murder

Police officers have apprehended and charged an Ottley Hall man for causing the death of his fellow villager.

Ivan Raguette, a 30-year-old labourer of Ottley Hall, stood before the Serious Offences Court last Friday, charged with the murder of Carlos ‘Bap’ Richardson, a 36-year-old labourer of Ottley hall.{{more}}

Richardson, who would have celebrated his 37th birthday on July 24, was shot and killed in Ottley Hall on the morning of April 26, 2016 around 6. 30 a.m., while he sat on a wall close to where he lived.

When Raguette appeared before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias, he was not allowed to enter a plea. He was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison (HMP) until July 27, 2016, when a preliminary inquiry into the matter is expected to be heard.

Richardson was the second person from Ottley Hall killed in less than four days. Lesroy ‘Magnum’ Sam, a 20-year-old Ottley Hall man, lost his life in a hail of bullets on Saturday, April 23, around 2 a.m. He was gunned down while hanging out in Rose Place.
