Female police officer attacked, beaten by masked bandit

A female police officer, on her way to work on Tuesday morning, was attacked and beaten by a masked bandit.

Reports are that the officer was walking in the Langley Park area at around 4 a.m., when the masked man appraoached her. The female officer was on her way to work at the Central Police Station in Kingstown when the incident took place.{{more}}

Head of the Police Public Relations Department Inspector Hawkins Nanton said that the matter is being investigated and the evidence suggests that the attacker knew the lady was a member of the local constabulary.
