Popular taxi driver dispels rumour of his demise

Popular Taxi Driver Theodore ‘Scissors’ Solomon says that he wants to assure the public that he is alive, stilling rumours that he had passed away over the weekend.

“I am well and by the grace of God I will be there to serve my people soon,” Solomon said yesterday from his bed at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH).{{more}}

Solomon was admitted to the MCMH on April 8 after he complained of stomach pains. While at the hospital, Solomon found out that there was a blockage in his small intestine and he would have to undergo surgery.

However, after a successful operation last week, Solomon’s blood pressure went up and as a result he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where he was up to press time, continuing his recovery.

But since Solomon has been at the hospital, family members have been receiving phone calls from persons, some offering condolences and others questioning whether Solomon is alive.

“Since Saturday I’ve been hearing this rumour that he passed away and I would like everyone to know he is well and doing much better than when he came,” Solomon’s girlfriend Anika Robinson told SEARCHLIGHT yesterday.

Robinson, who is the mother of four of Solomon’s seven children, called on whoever started the rumour to desist from telling persons that her children’s father is dead.

“I would like to say that whoever is spreading this rumour that he has died to stop it, because it’s causing a lot of grief to friends and relatives home and abroad.”

Robinson further stated that by the Grace of God, Solomon would be discharged from the MCMH soon.

Solomon also indicated that he wants persons to continue to pray for him, while he encourages persons who haven’t turned their lives around, to do so, as he has done.
