SVGS Young Leaders mentor Liberty Lodge Boys

The St Vincent Grammar School Young Leaders visited the Murray’s Village community and Liberty Lodge Boys Training Centre on Saturday, March 19.

The Young Leaders initiated their mentorship programme, “Care and Protection” in which the Grammar School students partner with Liberty Lodge students to develop meaningful relationships that will support the youth.{{more}} The Young Leaders will be working with nine boys over the coming months to develop confidence and character. In the Murray’s Village community, Young Leaders played games, interacted with the youths and introduced them to the mentors. Additionally they spoke to residents about the subtheme: “#Knowyourselfknowyourworth.” This outreach involved the distribution of questionnaires on self-esteem, self-identity and discussion on the topic of ‘Self’, targetting the WE aspect of their project.
