Elderly man killed at his home by intruder

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Ishmael Browne, which occurred at Fair Hall about 4:55 a.m. yesterday.{{more}}

Reports are that unknown assailant(s) broke into the home of the 80-year-old man and shot him about his chest and abdomen. He subsequently died at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

Seven homicides have been committed for the year.

A postmortem examination is expected to be performed on the body.
