Consumer Affairs Division celebrates World Consumer Day

The Consumer Affairs Division held their anual World Consumer Day exibition on March 16 at the Singer Gallery in Kingstown.

Representatives from the Bureau of Standards, Customs and Excise Department, the Ministry of Health and the Consumer Affairs Division were all on hand to educate Vincentians on their rights as consumers.{{more}}

As expected, the Customs and Excise Department displayed prohibited items while the consumer affairs division enlighted the public on their rights as consumers. The Bureau of Standards touched on the topic of quality of goods and the standard at which goods and services are to be presented to the consumer. The Ministry of Health highlighted the issues of pharmaceuticals. (CM)
