“Well he was a good person and he was helpful,” a sad Mapp told SEARCHLIGHT.

She stated that he loved playing football and since retiring from sailing, had taken up farming; planting root crops.

According to Mapp, she and Joseph had a very close relationship and his death has left her really shaken up.

“I feel real bad, real bad because he was really close to me as a cousin,” stated Mapp who lives a short distance from the deceased. She recalled that she had heard gunshots ring out around 11 Wednesday night, but did not think anything about it at the time.

She however said it was around 6 Thursday, morning that someone alerted her that her cousin been killed.
