Tomorrow, Saturday, March 12, the staff of CDL will set aside their sales and marketing skills and take up their water boots, rakes and shovels to clean up the North River.
The employees will collect all the garbage from the river between Block 2000 and the sea at Rose Place.
CEO of CDL Jimmie Forde said that the staff of CDL feels a sense of responsibility to assist in the clean-up of the environment to aid in the eradication of these dangerous mosquitoes, as an outbreak of Zika will seriously affect the productivity of their labour.
Forde also said that everyone has to a role to play in keeping St Vincent and the Grenadines clean, thus averting a major medical crisis. He appealed to the general public to be more responsible with the disposal of their garbage and urge the other members of the business community to join the fight to clean up our environment.
