VINSAVE childcare students engage in agricultural practices

Students in training and Vinsave staff got a “feel for the earth,” as they prepared “grow boxes” for planting lettuce and made “banks” to plant cucumbers at the Vinsave Child Development Training Centre on Thursday, February 25, 2016.{{more}} This is all part of Vinsave Early Childhood Training Programme, facilitated by Tyrone John of the Ministry of Agriculture.

This programme brings a new dimension to the Vinsave Early Childhood Training Programme, as it serves to equip the students to develop their own school gardens, where they can grow their own vegetables. It also serves to encourage the pre-school children to appreciate vegetables as part of their meals.
