Cecil Mckie, Minister of Culture, is expected to address the gathering.
Nine Mornings is one of the leading festivals in St Vincent and the Grenadines with activities spread throughout the country. However, the 2015 festivities saw a significant drop in the number of communities participating, which was said to be due mainly to the staging of general elections around the same time.
The Ministry of Culture and the SVG Nine Mornings Committee is anxious to restore the festival to its former levels especially since the much anticipated opening of the Argyle International Airport this year is expected to generate larger numbers of visitors and returning nationals coming to the country.
Nine Mornings, which is held during the month of December annually, remains unique to St Vincent and the Grenadines.
