SVG Medical Association elects new executive
A new executive has been installed to continue the work of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Medical Association, beginning 2016, a release from the organization said.{{more}}
Dr Rosalind Ambrose retained her position as president, while Dr TR Browne-Caesar was elected vice-president. Dr Patriana Badnock is the new PRO, while Shannon Durrant-Samuel was elected to continue as secretary/treasurer. Dr Melissa Ince, Chevonne Stewart and Natasha Sargeant were elected to serve as committee members.
âThe SVG Medical Association pledges to continue the many programmes which are already well established. This year however, the organization will adopt some new initiatives. Principal among these is the introduction of the combined campaign for Breast and Prostate Cancer Awareness. September is Prostate Awareness Month and October remains Breast Cancer Awareness Month and a new commemorative pin will be launched in conjunction with a number of other activities.
âWe continue to look forward to partnering with interested persons, groups and organizations, and we anticipate the continued great participation of the general public in these endeavours,â the release said.
