CWSA introduces e-billing for customers
The Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA) has added a new dimension to the service it offers customers by introducing e-billing.
This was announced last Friday at a press conference held at the companyâs headquarters at New Montrose.{{more}}
Addressing members of the media, CWSA general manager Garth Saunders said: âE-Billing is our latest enhancement to our customer service offering. CWSA has, over the years, been working on continuous improvements in the customer service department.â
This new feature allows customers to see how much their current bill amounts to, and also allows them to view their 12-month billing history.
âWe are happy that customers no longer have to come to the CWSA or call to get their bill balance â they can now access that online,â said Saunders.
The general manager explained that customers who wish to use the e-billing facility will have to register online on the CWSA website (www.cwsasvg.com), and certain details needed for signing up can be found on the physical bills that customers receive in the post (or otherwise) from CWSA.
In addition to introducing e-billing, the CWSA has also updated its website, so that it is more user-friendly and provides customers with more information that they require.
However, in terms of paying bills online, Saunders explained that the company is not yet at that stage, and has no immediate plans to do so.
Despite this, he did point out that the company has always facilitated bills being paid through Internet banking (with certain banks), once the customer has registered for the service with his/her banking institution.
âYou can access those financial houses, and do your bill payment online; not directly with us, but we have that arrangement with the different banks.â (JSV)
