Quality Care Pre-school holds Career Day
It was an exciting time for the children, parents and teachers of Quality Care Pre-school at Brighton, as they hosted their first Career Day last Friday, February 5, 2016.
Aspiring doctors, nurses, customs officers, police, firemen, all smartly suited in their various uniforms, transformed the school into a business centre as they excitedly reported for duties.{{more}}
Administrator and supervisor Naomi Porter said the Career Day climaxed a four week period of lessons and activities held under the theme âOccupationâ.
The objective was to stimulate the imagination and creative mind of the young ones through play in an organized setting, giving them an opportunity to express their own independence and desires. This allowed parents and teachers to observe certain inclinations which can help to purposefully model their lives for the future.
The children also had the pleasure of interfacing with the various invited professionals. Among them were a doctor, nurse, police officer, carpenter, dentist, teacher and pilot.
The day was a success with everyone involved expressing their satisfaction. Quality care pre-school and Day Nursery has been operating for over 10 years and is presently located opposite the Brighton Church of Christ, two minutes away from Huffles Ranch.
The school currently has a staff of three trained teachers: Adana Mc Queen, Charmine Dick and Nedra Simon, a YES worker and a cook, Anella Peters.
