Organizations receive donations from Courts

Four local institutions were the recipients of donations from Courts St Vincent Limited this week.

As part of the furniture, appliance, electronics and eyewear provider’s corporate social responsibility, Courts reached out to the Hilltop Pre-school at Mckies Hill, Ministry of National Mobilization, New Testament Church of God, Wilson Hill and the C W Prescod primary school, with much needed assistance.{{more}}

The Ministry of National Mobilization received two sewing machines from Courts, as the ministry, in conjunction with other organizations, conducted Domestic Violence Victim Support programmes in a number of communities around the country.

The machines will be used by participants of the programme to equip them with a skill to empower them in the development of their livelihoods.

Also receiving assistance from Courts was the CW Prescod Primary school, which was given a printer, which teachers say would accelerate the printing of documents for use in the office and classrooms.

Students of the Hill Top Pre-school were all smiles when they were presented with a MABE 20-inch stove, which will be used for food preparation at the Mckies Hill based institution.

Also receiving a stove was the New Testament Church of God, Wilson Hill, which will also use it for food preparation as part of the church’s outreach programme.
