Presentations of 2016 Taiwan Scholarship Programmes
Vincentians who are interested in applying for 2016 Taiwan Scholarship Programmes are invited to attend one of the presentations on the programmes at SVG Community College and Open Campus of the University of West Indies (UWI).
The first presentation will be held at the Division of Technical and Vocational Education (DTVE) at Arnos Vale, on February 2 at 1 p.m.{{more}} The second one will be at the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies (DASGS) at Villa, on February 3 at 12 noon. The final presentation will be made at UWI Open Campus on February 11 at 5 p.m.
The Embassy will make an introduction of the two Scholarship Programmes (MOFA Taiwan Scholarship and TaiwanICDF Scholarship), including their respective qualifications, requirements and application procedures. Members of the SVG Taiwan Scholar Alumni Association will also be present to share their experiences.
The purpose of the Taiwan Scholarship Programmes, launched in 2004, is to encourage Vincentians to pursue higher education degrees on undergraduate and postgraduate disciplines as well as a special four-year postgraduate programme in medicine, in Taiwan, to gain knowledge and skills important to the development of this country.
So far, more than 110 Vincentians have been awarded scholarships. The deadline is March 18 for TaiwanICDF Scholarship and March 31 for MOFA Taiwan Scholarship.
