UK radio, TV presenter filming in SVG

Claira Hermet, a former BBC Radio 1xtra host and television presenter in London, United Kingdom, gave up her life in the UK to travel the world. After having a double mastectomy in 2014 and losing both her mum when she was 9 and sister several years ago to breast cancer, she decided to travel the globe and film every minute.

Beginning her journey on New Year’s Eve, arriving in St Vincent, Claira stated, “St Vincent and the Grenadines is my favourite place on earth so far, so I thought it would be the perfect place to begin my journey. Since leaving in 2008, I’ve been longing to return and as soon as my feet touched down in St Vincent I felt a sense of peace. It’s so beautiful here.”

Claira visited SVG twice previously and spent three months in 2008 working and discovering the islands.

“I can’t wait to explore the islands, meet the locals and film everything St Vincent and the Grenadines has to offer! Please help me on my adventure by suggesting things to do in St Vincent, voting on my weekly poll and watching my videos on YouTube – I want to experience the real SVG that the locals suggest!”

Claira will be visiting South, Central, North America, Canada and Alaska, as well as other parts of the Caribbean.

“I might even return to SVG to end my journey, as I love it so much!” Claira’s experiences in SVG will be great exposure for the islands and she has already had interest expressed by persons wishing to visit after seeing her videos so far. With an online audience of over 50k on her YouTube channel and thousands of social media followers, it is a very exciting opportunity for the islands.
