Vynnette Frederick creates chaos with another misleading Facebook post
Public relations officer of the New Democratic Party (NDP) Vynnette Frederick has again been chided for misleading the public.
Supervisor of elections Sylvia Findlay, in a statement released yesterday, said during the final count of the ballots in North Leeward, Frederick posted a photograph on social media that created chaos in the country.{{more}}
According to Findlay, during the final count of the ballots in North Leeward, at which Frederick was present as a representative for the NDP, she gave Frederick permission to take a photograph of one of the ballot boxes from the North Leeward constituency, as they were being taken out for the final count.
âMs Frederick later in the day posted on social media the same photograph of the ballot box for polling station NL E1 and captioned it as the alleged missing ballot box for Central Leeward that had been found,â Findlay said.
âWhen it was brought to my attention and I examined the photograph posted, in the presence of the representatives from both the NDP and ULP, I publicly expressed dissatisfaction with Ms Frederick for misleading the general public and creating chaos in the country.â
Just two weeks ago, Frederick untruthfully posted on Facebook that two Vincentians were part of the observer groups that had been invited into the country to monitor the general elections.
Her claims, which had no basis in fact, were denied both by the named Vincentians and the head of the OAS observer group.
