Ex-Police Association elects new executive
A new executive has been elected to oversee the business of the Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Ex-Police Association for the next year.
At a meeting of the Association held on Saturday, November 7, James Blugh and Pastor Marsden Sam were re-elected unopposed as president and vice-president respectively.{{more}}
The other members of the executive are: Pastor Lennox Haynes – chaplain; Cecile McMaster – secretary; Philbert Hachshaw – assistant secretary; Glasgow Providence – treasurer; Jonathan Nicholls – public relations officer; David Charles – committee member; Arnold Duncan – committee member; Alfred Peters – committee member; Ashley Culzac – committee member.
The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Ex- Police Association was established in October of 2004. The Association went dormant for a few years but was revived in October, 2013.
The RSVG Ex-Police Association recently donated a sum of money to an ex-police officer, in Dominica, who suffered during the recent disaster in that country.
President of the Association James Blugh said that the Association intends to work more closely with the RSVG Police Force, and will make its services available where needed. He also expressed congratulations, on behalf of the Association, to Sgt Brenton Smith of the local Police Force, who recently obtained a mastersâ degree in Police Leadership and Management from the University of Leicester.
Members of the Association will worship at a church service, at the Kingstown Methodist Church, on Sunday November 29 at 7 a.m.
