BRAGSA commences Christmas road cleaning programme
The Roads, Buildings and General Services Authority (BRAGSA) commenced its Christmas road cleaning programme yesterday, November 16, in various communities throughout St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The programme is expected to run for a period of two to three weeks, at a cost of approximately EC$3 million and will employ approximately 5,500 persons. These include gangs, jobbers and truckers.{{more}}
A release from BRAGSA said the focus of the exercise would be on the clearing of drains and road verges.
âThe authority is also continuing with its 2015 Road Repair Programme and all attempts are being made to schedule and implement these repair works to accommodate motorists and road users. The patching units are also out doing patching in various communities throughout mainland St Vincent and some parts of Kingstown.
âBRAGSA looks forward to the co-operation of the public with a view that works will be completed on schedule and with minimal disruption,â the release said.
