According to Alene Thomas, health director of the SDA mission, the church was delighted to present these supplies on behalf of Harold-Louisa, who works in the medical field. Thomas expressed the hope that the supplies would be used in enhancing the work done at the hospital.
During the brief handing over ceremony, Thomas also said she is aware that with health care costs rising rapidly, the contribution by the mission is welcomed.
Also present at last weekâs ceremony was manager of the Central Medical Stores Steve Millington, who expressed thanks on the behalf of the Ministry of Health. He said the supplies would assist in the ministryâs mandate to reach out to persons in need of medical assistance.(AS)
