Man succumbs to injuries five days after accident

A 52-year-old Arnos Vale resident is St Vincent’s latest road fatality.

According to a police release, Elroy Cruickshank of Arnos Vale succumbed to his injuries at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital on Sunday, November 1, five days after he was involved in an accident with a motor vehicle.{{more}}

“Preliminary investigations claim that Cruickshank was lying on the sidewalk near to the Mango Tree Bar at Arnos Vale, when motor vehicle, P6141, driven by 50-year-old Joham Buntyn of Edindoro, which was travelling towards the Arnos Vale roundabout ran off the road and struck Cruickshank.”

Cruickshank was taken to the MCMH with serious injuries.

The vehicle is owned by Franklyn Garraway of Belair.

Buntyn is currently in custody assisting police with the investigation.

There have been 13 road accidents recorded this year resulting in the deaths of 21 persons.
