Public servants take part in oneday Diplomatic Protocol workshop
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is continuing its efforts to improve the quality of service delivered by its protocol officers who are called upon to serve dignitaries and officials at official functions.{{more}}
On Monday, October 19, over 30 public servants were engaged in a one-day Diplomatic Protocol and Etiquette workshop at the Ministryâs conference room. The dayâs proceeding was held under the theme âImproving our ability to serve through dedication and professionalism.â
The objectives of the workshop were to: promote greater awareness on the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; improve participantsâ understanding on the importance of protocol; deliver knowledge and skills on matters of protocol; and to develop a cadre of professionals who are well placed to deal with dignitaries and officials at official functions.
In this connection, participants were enlightened on the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its foreign policy through diplomacy, protocol and order of precedence, dress and decorum, airport protocol, among other areas.
