Layou ‘Coconut Fest’ to be held tomorrow

A ‘Coconut Fest’ will be held in the town of Layou tomorrow, Saturday, October 24, as part of the national Independence celebrations.

The event is spearheaded by the Layou Miracle Church and will take palce at the Layou waterfront, beginning at 3 p.m.{{more}}

A release from the organizers say that the event, which takes place annually, has as its objective to foster community spirit and encourage national pride.

Activities at the event include cultural stage performances and exhibitions/display of craft and food items made from coconut.
