In front of appreciative audiences, the finals began with the speech competition. Janice King of the Faith Temple Church outpointed her opponents speaking on the topic: “Jesus said: “If you ask anything in my name, the Father will grant it”. So, why isn’t God answering my prayers?”

In the much anticipated category of Bible Drama, where participants had to dramatize an activity or incident involving Jesus, Roy George of the Hope For Life Restoration Ministries, garnered much applause with his portrayal of “God and Adam and Eve” and walked away with the title of Best Bible Dramatist.

In a competitive Bible Boxing final, Bernadette Gurley of the Faith Temple Church just managed to outpoint Jonicka Williams of the Kingdom Life Tabernacle to take the title of Best Bible Boxer. Gurley also won the award for Most Outstanding Participant in the festival.

The six rounds of quizzes went a long way in determining the final places, with some 450 points at stake. With strong performances from Cornelia Peters, who won the award for Best Young Quizzer, Mikhail Hazelwood, who won Most Outstanding Quizzer and Keyon Gaymes in the Bible Study round, Faith Temple Church put themselves in a good position to take the overall title by winning the quiz competition.

In the end, Faith Temple Church comfortably won ahead of the Hope For Life Restoration Ministries, who finished in second position on 219 points. The Kingdom Life Ministries came in third with 178 points.

The SVG National Bible Festival, now into its seventh year, has been organized by the SVG Gospel Fest Committee since 2009 under the theme: “Study To Show Thyself Approved Unto God.”
