Students in porn video placed in counseling

The students who appeared in a video that had made the rounds of social media last week, showing a group of young people having sex, have been placed in counseling by the Ministry of Education.

Chief education officer Lou-anne Gilchrist told SEARCHLIGHT on Wednesday that the female student who was shown engaged in sexual intercourse with two boys is now under the supervision of a trained counsellor. {{more}}

The other students, Gilchrist said, will receive counseling for behaviour modification. “We have to strengthen our Home and Family Life Education programme in the schools and build community with parents,” she added.

The video shows at least six young people (three females and three males) filming and engaging in sexual intercourse in what appears to be a bedroom. Two of the girls were clad in the uniforms of two local secondary schools.

According to a usually reliable source, the three males shown in the video no longer attend school, having left at the end of the last school year. All three girls are, however, still students. Gilchrist said that the matter is in the hands of the police.
