Schools benefiting from Digicel’s back to school drive

Four primary schools have so far been the recipients of a Digicel drive in which the telecommunications company is providing school bags and supplies to several schools nation-wide. The company said in a release that, so far, visits and donations have been made to the Dorsetshire Hill Government School,{{more}} the Fancy Primary School and Schools for Children with Special Needs in Georgetown and Kingstown.

The company said this is to show its “strong dedication to the initiative of promoting education and to assist with developing and enhancing the students of St Vincent and the Grenadines.”

Marketing executive Danielle Cupid says “We are very happy to be able to equip students with the tools required to help them reach the highest level of achievement in their education at this point. We would also like to wish every student a successful school year.”

In addition to school supplies, Digicel said it is also donating $1,000 to each school visited.
