‘Guinness Amplify’ replaces Arthur Day
Guinness consumers this year will be treated to an all new experience in place of the traditional Arthur Day celebrations.
Marketing assistant at the St Vincent Brewery Cenica Patterson told SEARCHLIGHT that âGuinness Amplifyâ will now replace the traditional Arthur Day experience,{{more}} by âcombining fresh, new upcoming talent with focus on disc jockeys and the best in soca and dancehall on stage.â
There would also be live performances at the celebrations. She said for patrons to discover who these artistes are, they would have to pay close attention to the Guinness social media pages.
DJs who are interested in participating in the Guinness Amplify experience were all given a âroll callâ to audition for a place at the September 25, 2015 staging of the event.
Auditions for DJâs began last week at Club Heights, and continued on Tuesday 8 at 5 p.m. Patterson told reporters that from these auditions, eight DJâs will be chosen to take part in the âGuinness Amplifyâ experience.
âGuinness Amplify is about an experience; itâs about the drinkers and not necessarily about the founder of Guinness,â marketing co-ordinator at St Vincent Brewery Kelvin Franklyn explained.
Consumers can redeem tickets by collecting three Guinness harp crowns, plus $10, and saving receipts from Guinness six-pack purchases, and claiming them at the Guinness outlet in Kingstown.
