No extension to 30-day voter registration period

There has been no extension to the 30-day period provided under the Representation of the People (Amendment) Act 2015 for persons to lodge objections to their names being removed from the Voters’ List.

A release dated August 19 from the Supervisor of Elections reiterated this fact and reminded that the Voters’ List was made available to the public earlier that day.{{more}}

The list is available at the Electoral Office in Kingstown and on the Electoral Office page of the Government Website.

Persons who registered or updated their voter registration after June 1, 2005, and observe that their names are not on this Voters’ List are asked to contact the Office of the Supervisor of Elections promptly.

Vincentians resident overseas and who are having difficulty making contact with the Office of the Supervisor of Elections are asked to do so through the Vincentian Consular Office nearest to them.

The Electoral Office anticipates the usual cooperation of the general public in the matter.
