ECGC donates $1,000 to St Martin’s Secondary School PTA
The East Caribbean Group of Companies (ECGC) has donated $1,000 to the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of the St Martinâs Secondary School.
The money will be used by the PTA in a project being undertaken to give the school a face-lift during the summer vacation.{{more}}
According to a release from ECGC, their donation will be used to assist with the repairs, which include refurbishments to both the interior and exterior of the school. This first phase of the project is estimated to cost $20,000 and repairs include the replacement of the rusty mesh wire on the perimeter of the property with fancy blocks and the repainting of the classrooms.
Principal of the school Wendell Edwards, in thanking the ECGC, said that it is only with the generosity of businesses and individuals that they would be able to accomplish their goals of creating a pleasant learning environment for the students.
